Liga Portugal

Liga Portugal’s environmental commitment extends to all levels, both in internal educational initiatives and external actions. The organization adopts practices such as water and material reuse, waste separation, and the use of recyclable materials, among other sustainability measures.

Climate action

The environmental concern is transversal to all the actions of Liga Portugal, both in the internal pedagogical aspects and in the external initiatives. Noise control, a constant call for the reuse of water and the adoption of renewable energies, the use of reusable materials, and the separation of waste are objective realities and a reason to encourage the compliance with best practices by Sports Associations and all those associated with Professional Football. The Arena, the future Liga Portugal headquarters, will also comply with the energy certification Classification A, will use photovoltaic solar panels, and, at the same time, will optimise energy consumption through motion sensors and low consumption LED lighting.

Testimony

Joining the Climate Pact, together with the Municipality of Porto is, for Liga Portugal, the epitome of its moral and ethical commitment. Being a partner in this challenge forges an effective pact between two institutions that, concerned about the legacy to be left to future generations, are already fighting for the defense of the environment.
