founded on October 19, 2022. It brings together 51 organizations related to healthcare, including six professional orders, eleven associations, seven pharmaceutical industry laboratories, fifteen scientific societies, three private healthcare groups, three academic institutions, and other organizations.<\/p><p><strong>Climate action<\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events related to climate change is a threat to the Health and Well-Being of populations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Portuguese Council for Health and Environment (CPSA) aims to intervene in issues related to the climate crisis and environmental degradation and its impact on health, advocate for the reduction of the health sector&#8217;s ecological footprint, and empower the health system to address epidemiological challenges and unexpected events arising from climate change and environmental impacts.
