Climate action
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing today’s society as it causes many negative impacts on ecosystems, socioeconomic sectors, human health, and well-being.
The transition to “greener” economic models and behaviour requires awareness and new skills to face these challenges.
In this context, the Association of Technical Engineers (OET) – Northern Regional Section, is committed to the urgency of climate action, seeking to further a resilient and more prepared culture within its organisation, and integrating climate change-related measures into its policy, strategies, and planning.
The organisational measures undertaken by OET under the Climate Actions include:
- Energy certification process of the building;
- Digitisation of processes;
- Awareness-raising actions for the sustainability of resources;
- Promotion of energy sustainability, specifically with the replacement of fluorescent light fixtures with LED fixtures;
- Increased energy efficiency of the building with thermal insulation.
