AEdP is a public company within the local business sector, responsible for the integrated and sustainable management of the urban water cycle in Porto (including water supply, sanitation, stormwater management, waterways, and the coastal front) and for implementing the municipal energy strategy.
Climate action
AEdP operates a photovoltaic park at its headquarters, ensuring self-sufficiency and even powering more than 60 charging stations for electric vehicles. It is currently installing the first Renewable Energy Community (CER) in Bairro da Agra do Amial, self-consumption production units in municipal buildings, and LED street lighting. In the water sector, it implements climate change adaptation measures.

By joining the Porto Climate Pact, Águas e Energia do Porto reaffirms its commitment to this city-wide mission, in which it aims to play an active role through the sustainable management of energy and the urban water cycle.
