Climate action

Sustainable development is part of ISEP’s mission, and in this sense, we have adopted measures that contribute to ensuring an integrated management model based on environmental, economic, and social responsibility. Of the many actions developed in this context, we highlight the following: the campaign ‘Act Local, Think Global’, started in February, 2019 and which allowed us to be the first Higher Education Institution in the country to obtain the Green Heart certification; participation as founding institutional members of the Portuguese Pact for Plastics; the contracting of 100% green electricity and investment in energy efficiency on campus; as well as the digitisation of processes that led to a drastic reduction in paper and print consumption.
