Climate action

The Port of Leixões initiated the Roadmap for the energy transition and decarbonisation of its activity, and this will result in the achievement of carbon neutrality and energy self-sufficiency in 2035, 15 years earlier than foreseen in the European Green Deal. The future involves more technological, digital, and sustainable ports and Leixões intends to become a reference port in southern Europe.
