OPO’Lab is a multidisciplinary center and the first FabLab created in Portugal (2010), dedicated to exploring the creative use of new technologies in architecture, engineering, and design. It promotes research, equipment development, new materials, and sustainable solutions.

Climate action

OPO’Lab founded Precious Plastic Portugal, which aims to manufacture professional plastic recycling equipment (becoming a global leader in its distribution), develop molds, provide training, and raise awareness. It gained recognition with the Replay project, which won 1st prize at the New European Bauhaus Awards 2022. The project’s mission is to prevent around 30 million toys from ending up in landfills each year.
