ATIC – Technical Association of the Cement Industry, brings together CIMPOR and SECIL as its members. Founded in the 1960s to promote better use of cement, its original technical and scientific focus has expanded to include institutional representation of the national cement industry, which prioritizes decarbonization as a key strategic area.

Climate Action
Between 2005 and 2020, the cement industry invested in environmental impact reduction and in Research, Development and Innovation, resulting in a reduction of over 14% in specific CO₂ emissions per tonne of cement compared to 1990. The sector’s commitments to decarbonization and sustainability are outlined in the Cement Industry Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality 2050.
